National Electrical Code lists capacity of the cable as follows: Amp # 12-20, # 10-30 Amperes, # 8-40 Amps # 6 to 55 amps. Of course, a great son will not hurt either.

Switch should be 40 amps and cable is 8 AWG. A 30-amp circuit breaker happy to stay tough. Amperes at full load is when it is running at full capacity. The starting current is much higher than the FLA.

Check the size of the main cable refer to the unit where they are supposed to make the connection from the switch panel. If the son is bigger than 10AWG or acceded to more than 10AWG, then you can not use a circuit breaker of 30 amps.

Find a rated output of not less than the current circuit in the unit.

Their fuses or circuit breakers are designed to protect the wiring in his house in shorts and overheat and cause a fire. They are not designed to protect your equipment. According to the law can not be running a 10AWG wire to a circuit breaker of 50 amps.

I want to use a circuit breaker to 50 amps. 26A x 1.75 = 45A, in order to avoid false alarms. It is also necessary to separate one, if the device is installed outside. He is also protected by a 120V GFI is less than 25 meters from the device. # 8 wire work, but as it is far removed from the panel.

Amp circuit to a minimum will be charged. Cable # 10 to 30 amps. You should also label maximum size of the backup. Probably a circuit breaker of 45 A or 50 Read the label on the hard disk should be carefully and find what you need.
